Proud to be celebrating 77 years of history, Chicopee is excited to return to Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest as an accredited Festhalle in 2012. The organization was originally founded in 1934 as a ski club located in the heart of the Waterloo Region and now services the entire Tri-Cities Region and beyond. Chicopee has grown to a year-round recreational facility with 165 acres of land, including 14 ski and snowboard runs, 4 chairlifts, 2 magic carpets, 7 km of bike trails, 5 clay tennis courts, 3 Olympic beach volley ball courts, 2 bike parks and 18-hole disc golf course.
All of these activities are serviced by our 30,000 sq. ft. full-service chalet complete with Food & Beverage and Hall facilities.
Chicopee Haus offers a unique and authentic Oktoberfest experience to the community. Chicopee has been a not-for-profit pillar in this region for 77 years, and during Oktoberfest our rustic ski lodge is transformed into a traditional festhalle that defines Gemütlichkeit! Come early and enjoy our gourmet dinner options available between 6 and 8 pm, stay late to enjoy our outdoor area in a Muskoka chair by the fire. Indulge in our famous late night menu featuring: Schnitzel Sliders, Sauerkraut Fritters or Chico-bits (bite sized strudel), try your luck in our potato gun shooting range or fire a pumpkin from our trebuchet. Be entertained by our house band, featuring Fred Hale & Kenny Munshaw, while watching authentic local dance groups. Relax and enjoy a massage in the Zen-toberfest Loft (brought to you by Urban Wellness Studio). Don’t forget to take home a keepsake from our photo booth, or purchase one of our Bavarian check Oktoberfest hats. We have ample free parking and are wheelchair accessible. Capacity: 450
