This event is the longest continuous running Family & Cultural Event. Anyone with a barebow and special blunt-tipped arrow (flu flu) may participate in Bogenschuetzenfest on Saturday, October 6th. A styrofoam eagle mounted on top a 35' pole is the target. Archers will attempt to knock a piece of the eagle off with their blunt tipped arrows. Archers who knock off a body part will become members of "The Schuetzen Guilde of Archers".

On Sunday, October 7th, participants will compete in the Running Boar Tournament, where the target is a replica of a wild boar travelling at approximately 20 km/h, attempting to score on target rings.
