Beginning Uptown Waterloo at 8:30 am, the pride of Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest - the Thanksgiving Day parade.
It has often been said that everyone loves a parade and those in attendance at our annual Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parade are no exception. Thousands of people line the parade route each year to see the floats, bands and special entries that are part of this annual event. Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest features one of the most spectacular Thanksgiving Day Parades in Canada. Join more than 150,000 Fest-goers as they line King Street on Thanksgiving morning, eagerly awaiting the colourful floats, clowns and award winning marching bands from Canada and the United States. The parade begins in uptown Waterloo at 8:30 am.

The Parade route, lined with an enthusiastic audience covers 5 km from King and Erb Streets in Waterloo to King and Madison streets in Kitchener. Text your vote for People's Choice Float! Once again, the 150,000 spectators at the Thanksgiving Day Parade will be able to text in their votes for the People's Choice Float. Spectators simply text the code on the sides of each of the floats (eg: HANS12) to cast their vote for the interactive award, and they can vote as many times as they want!
