Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Welcomes a Brand New Festhalle to Waterloo

 

(Waterloo Region, ON - September 15, 2016) - Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest, Canada's Greatest Bavarian Festival, proudly announces that a brand new Festhalle will open its doors just in time for the 2016 Festival, and it will be located in the City of Waterloo.

Introducing the newest Festhalle to the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest family, The Berlin Haus! Come explore the tent located at the newly opened Inn of Waterloo. The Zigge Zagges Band will have you dancing all night from the main stage, while traditional Oktoberfest Dancers will keep you entertained when you need a break. You'll get a traditional Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest experience, with just the right amount of non-traditional entertainment mixed in that will keep everyone festing all night!

The Inn of Waterloo has hotel packages available for weekend visitors including breakfast in the morning. That way, you won't have far to go to lay your head after a long night of Festing. Tent opens nightly at 6:00pm and closes at 1:00am
*Saturday October 15 tent is open 11am to 4pm and 6pm to 1am

Tickets are $15.00/person
Student Night tickets are $10.00
Family Day $10.00/person and kids under 12 become German for FREE!

Festival expansion and brand growth has always been a priority for Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest. Last year, Das Bierhaus was launched in the city of London in the Western Fair District. Residents of the Forest City got to experience the best of Bavarian Culture, Beverages, Food, Entertainment and the Spirit of Gemütlichkeit without having to drive down the 401.

This year, with the introduction of The Berlin Haus, Waterloo residents will have another unique Festhalle to experience during the 2016 Festival October 7-15, 2016.

Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest is a not-for-profit Bavarian festival founded in 1969 by a group of volunteers committed to contributing to the social and economic vitality of Kitchener-Waterloo, Canada twin cities with German heritage. Canada's Greatest Bavarian Festival celebrates German heritage, food, music and festivities and is supported by more than 50 not-for-profit organizations. The festival is operated by eight year-round full-time staff, over 480 volunteers and 1,300 Community and Service Club volunteers that stage the nine-day festival each October promoting a unique German cultural experience. As well as the economic boost the festival gives the local economy during the international festival, over $1.5 million is raised each year by the not-for-profit organizations associated with Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest, one of the top three most recognized event brands in Canada.
