Get Your Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Festhallen Tickets on May 9

(Kitchener, ON, Canada – May 02, 2018) Get ready to dust off your dirndls and lederhosen and celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Canada’s Greatest Bavarian Festival at your favourite festhalle. KitchenerWaterloo Oktoberfest, a not-for-profit organization, has announced that ticket sales for most accredited Festhallen will go on sale May 9, 2018 at 10:00 AM ET.

The Festhallen take pride in providing an authentic experience and hospitable atmosphere to over 700,000 fest-goers who visit the region annually during the nine-day festival. Festhallen tickets are limited and often sell out in advance of the festival, so mark your calendars for May 9, 2018, and buy tickets in advance to experience the spirit of Gemütlichkeit. Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest has many special events planned for the 50th celebration and attending a festhalle is your best chance to get a selfie with Miss Oktoberfest, indulge in a cold beverage and warm salted pretzel, and do the chicken dance to a live band with the festival’s favourite mascot, Onkel Hans.

“Our team has been busy working with our partners to prepare for the 50th Anniversary of KitchenerWaterloo Oktoberfest,” said Margo Jones, 2018 President of K-W Oktoberfest Inc. “In our organization,
we have a saying that goes you can watch the party or you can be the party. This coordinated ticket launch date is a festival first, providing those who want to be the party with an opportunity to buy tickets in advance. We’re grateful for the Festhallen support and encourage fest-goers to get their tickets early, before they sell out.”

The following festhallen will release tickets on May 9, 2018 at 10 AM ET:
- Alpine Club
- Altes Muenchen Haus
- Chicopee Haus
- Concordia Club*
- Hubertushaus
- Oberkrainer Haus
- Schwaben Club

Tickets for Concordia Club will be available only through their club; all other tickets are available through Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest.

This year’s 50th Anniversary festival runs from October 5 - 13, with tickets available for purchase at www.oktoberfest.ca. Most festhalle events are 19+ with the exception of family day events, which will go on sale at a later date.

This is the first year that multiple Festhallen are releasing tickets collectively, offering a more convenient option for festival-goers to plan ahead. Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest facilitated a coordinated effort between accredited partners to launch festhalle tickets on the same day.

Tickets are limited and sell out fast, so buy your tickets today. Full details and information are available at http://store.kwoktoberfest.ca/home. Join the conversation on social media using hashtag #KWOTickets.
