The Dirndl (prounounced "durn-dl") is a traditional Bavarian dress with a close-fitting bodice and a full skirt of striking colours and patterns.
Lederhosen (pronounced "ley-der-hoh-zuh n") are traditional Bavarian leather shorts, long or short, usually adorned with decorative suspenders.
Lederhosen are worn by either men or women and children at Oktoberfest.
