2011 Media Meister

Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest is pleased to announce the 2011 Media Meister, sponsored by Digital North, and the Parade Grand Marshal for the 2011 Thanksgiving Day Parade!

The Media Meister is the winner of a challenge for radio stations to get creative and come up with a Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest version of a popular song that reflects the genre of their station. This year the station that can declare themselves the 2011 Media Meister is 91.5 The Beat, whose song “Pumped up Kegs,” a spoof on Pumped up Kicks by Foster the People, can be heard on the Beat Breakfast with Carlos, Sophie and Dave. This Media Meister challenge, sponsored by Digital North, was announced at Media Night on Wednesday, September 28 at the new festhallen Chicopee Haus. The Media Meister appeared in the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parade on Monday, October 10th.
