Since 1995, Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest provides a safe and convenient transportation alternative through our Take The Bus on Us free bus ride campaign, courtesy of the Molson Take Care Program, Grand River Transit and the Festhallen.

Have a Ride on Us

Schedule information is available in our publications and is also posted in area hotels and at the Festhallen. Free bus transportation is available each Friday and Saturday during the festival from 11 pm to 1:50 am.

The Pepsi Designated Driver Program is available at many of our Festhallen. After registering at the Festhallen, the Designated Driver can enjoy free Pepsi while in the hall plus they are eligible to win great prizes in a draw at the close of the Festival.

As part of our commitment to ensure that Festival patrons get home safely, Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest supports the Waterloo Regional Police and OPP RIDE program. An estimated 8,000 drivers will be screened through this initiative, and on successfully passing the process, will receive a booklet jam-packed with gifts and discount coupons provided by our many sponsors.
